Some information about Horses
Horse is a very useful animal. It is a pet and fast running animal. Its gait is adorable. The pleasure of riding on it is irresistible. Horses have been used by soldiers for a long time. Having cavalry squads in the army is considered a symbol of tradition and pride.
Horses are found all over the world. They are of many colors and breeds. Arabian horses are considered the best. The army consists mostly of Arabian horses. They are given special training. In ancient times, there were a large number of cavalry in the army. These squads played a major role in the war. The horses did not take any time to understand the gestures of their heroes. Although the method of warfare has changed in modern times, horses are still important in other fields.
Horse is a herbivorous animal. It eats grass straw and grains. It is very much like gram which is the main source of its strength. The horse grazes the green grass in the fields and eats the food given by its master. Its place of residence is called stables. There is proper provision for its stay and food in the stables.
The horse is one of two extinct subspecies of Equus ferus caballus and Equus ferus. It is an odd-fingered hoofed mammal, which belongs to the family Aquedi. The horse has evolved over the past 45 to 55 million years from a small multi-fingered creature, Eohippus, into today's giant, single-fingered animal. Humans began to domesticate horses around 4000 BCE, and their domestication is thought to have spread widely from 3000 BCE. Horses in the caballus subspecies are domesticated, although some domesticated populations live in the forest as docile horses.
The horse is a member of the Equidae family. Apart from the horse in this family, there are also donkey, zebra, Bhot-khar, pony, horse-khar and mule of the present era. From the first ancestor of the horse named Eohippus of the Eosin period to the present day, all the ancestors and members are included in this family. Its scientific name Equus is derived from Latin, but the second member of this family is divided into other six subspecies of Equus species. Therefore, it is not appropriate to designate a horse by the word Equus alone. The correct name for today's horse is Equus caballus.
Horses of one group do not disturb the life and peace of another group. In times of distress, males surround the females from all sides and face the invader. In Asia, a large number of wild relatives of their stunted stature are found in herds ranging from 50 to several hundred. Humans keeps on making them pets according to their need.
